Recently, at Xella’s License Partner Conference held in Berlin, Germany, Shen Xiaohe, President of UBlok, and Christophe Clemente, Global CEO of Germany’s Xella, signed an agreement to deepen bilateral cooperation. Faced with an uncertain global economy and market environment, both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration in technology, market development and brand operation. The two sides will move forward hand in hand, achieve mutual growth, and jointly make greater contributions to the development of the global autoclaved aerated concrete industry.
Shen Xiaohe stated that as UBlok is deeply rooted in China’s AAC market, the world’s largest single market for this product, learning from Germany’s Xella — Europe’s largest and longest-established AAC enterprise that owns two world-famous brands YTONG and HEBEL — in technological development, energy conservation, carbon reduction and industrial mergers & acquisitions carries far-reaching constructive significance for UBlok’s long-term development.
Xella is the world’s leading manufacturer of white wall materials, with two core product lines: autoclaved aerated concrete and calcium silicate bricks. The YTONG brand boasts a history of more than 100 years, and the group recorded global revenue of 985 million euros in 2024. Between 2017 and 2019, UBlok fully acquired all of Xella’s Chinese assets, including production bases in Changxing, Zhejiang and Tianjin, and became Xella’s exclusive partner in China.
