According to a news announcement titled “MTR Reports to Police: Subcontractor at Tung Chung East Station Involved in Unauthorized Materials and Forged Documents” issued by MTR Corporation Limited (MTR) on August 27, 2025, regarding recent allegations related to Contract 1202 – “Construction of Tung Chung East Station and Associated Track Diversion Preparation Works” under the ongoing Tung Chung Line Extension Project, the corporation has not been able to dispel doubts regarding the authenticity of materials and documents provided by a subcontractor hired by the main contractor. After a careful investigation and verification, the corporation reported the case to the police this afternoon.
